The Central Gippsland Institute of TAFE (GippsTAFE) is a rurally based institute in Victoria with 5 campuses (1 in Melbourne). Although a relatively small institute it delivers around 1 million student contact hours per year.

The Online programmes caters for approximately 3,000 students.

Approximately half of these students learn in a blended environment. That is, these students have face-to-face classes which are supplemented with online technologies.

The other half of GippsTAFE students, numbering approximately 1,500, study solely online. They may be doing an entire certificate course or a short course designed specifically for their industry. GippsTAFE online courses attract students from all over Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Singapore.
